Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT WIDTH CROWN MOLDING IS RIGHT FOR MY CEILING?

The width of crown molding you choose ultimately depends on two things – the size of the room and the height of the ceiling in the room. As a general rule, we recommend 5″ cornice in a room with 8-foot ceilings and 7″ cornice if the room has 9-foot ceilings. If your ceilings are higher, we can create build-ups that can increase the width for a perfect match to your ceiling height.

AFTER THE MOLDING IS INSTALLED, DO I NEED TO REPAINT THE WALLS?

No painting is required after the installation of molding. Our team takes extra care to ensure that only the moldings are painted and your walls are left untouched.

AM I ABLE TO PAINT THE MOLDINGS MYSELF PRIOR TO INSTALLATION?

Yes. Because the materials are delivered prior to our arrival, we can do all the prep work, fill the nail holes, and caulking so that you can paint.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO BEFORE THE CARPENTERS ARRIVE?

Prior to our arrival, you will want to make sure that there are outlets to plug in the necessary tools. In addition, we will need a workspace for cutting materials to fit your moldings to length. Often times, we recommend using the garage, in the event of bad weather. We also ask that you move furniture away from the walls, at least 30 inches, so that we have room to work and move ladders around the room with ease.

DO I NEED TO BE THERE FOR THE INSTALLATION PROCESS?

No. We only require that someone is there to meet our team prior to getting started, and that someone is there to inspect the work upon completion.

HOW LONG WILL THE INSTALLATION TAKE?

Typically, we need three days to complete a project that includes crown molding, wainscot, doorways, and final painting.

WHAT LOCATIONS DO YOU COVER?

We can work on projects in the following areas – Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, and New Jersey.

WHEN, IF EVER, DO YOU USE SUBCONTRACTORS?

We never use subcontractors. The painters and carpenters that come into your home are employees of our company.

ARE YOUR PROJECTS COVERED BY INSURANCES AND DO YOU HAVE LICENSES?

Yes. Our work is covered under general liability, worker’s compensation, and auto and equipment insurance. We can provide proof of these insurances upon request.

ARE YOU PART OF A LARGER FRANCHISE?

No. Our company is owned and operated by Jenkins Yagci, who gets involved in each project. Our company strives to provide personal attention to each customer that hires us to work in their home.

CAN YOU WORK ON A CONDO?

Yes. We have the ability to work on condos and apartments. We will still need a place to set up our equipment. Typically, a balcony is the best place for this.

DO YOU HAVE A MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENT?

Yes. Our minimum job is $2,000.00.

IS THE WORK YOU PROVIDE WARRANTED?

Yes. The work we do comes with a 1-year warranty from the date of installation, which includes the materials and the installation.
